Another New Website to Check Out

We have just purchased the new 2010 Chevy Camaro and launched a website called 5GenCamaro.com which will link over to a social network site for owners and enthusiasts of the new 2010 Camaro. We will customize our new car like we did the Accord but until the warranty has run out we won't be doing much for performance mods. Most of what we will be decals which can be found on our new website Vinylines

Long Overdue Update

We have a couple of new updates to report. The first one is we are no longer updating the PerformancePartsAndAccessories.com web site. We have left the home page up which will redirect all of your inquiries over to DragonAutomotive.com. Now that the new DragonAutomotive.com web site is up and running this site was a duplicate plus we have a new web site that we just recently launched. The new web site is called Vinylines and can be found at http://www.vinylines.com/ or you can read the Vinylines Blog here.






Vinylines is a custom vinyl decal designer and manufacturer, producing high quality vinyl stickers for any application. We will be working on some automotive specific decals soon. We currently have listed a small variety of decals that are typically seen on cars. Pleases top by today and if you don't see something your looking for we can make it for you.

As for products being added to DragonAutomotive.com we are continuing the addition of Ksport products. Ksport manufactures coilover suspension, brake kits, lowering springs, and a host of other great products. We currently have thier Kontrol Pro Damper System which is a street coilover suspension system listed online. Ksport also makes a drift spec coilover kit called the Slide Control Drift Damper System, a rally suspension suystem called Rally Spec GR for gravel and Rally Spec AR for asphault. There is also the GT Pro and Version RR for road raceing application and the ultimate set up called Circuit Pro Damper System.

We currently have a brand new in the box set of coilovers for the 1984-87 Toyota AE86 Corolla GT-S coilovers on our garage sale items page. The reason for this is because we have sold that project car and have ordered a brand new 2010 Chevy Camaro. We will have more on the new Camaro at our new social networking site called 5GenCamaro.ning.com. If you a fan of the new 5th generation Camaro or have recently purchased one of these stop by and join our community.

Several Months Later

Well it's been a few months since we have opened the new web site and we have gotten lots of great feedback from everyone. We will be adding more products soon. Our parent company has been so busy working on other client sites that we have not had much time to work on DragonAutomtoive.com.

Don't forget that if you have or know of any great videos on YouTube use our online form to submit them and we will add them to our video lineup.

A Long Weekend

I want to thank you all for your patience. It was a long weekend tweaking and working on final site issues to get it up and running properly. I am happy to report that all or almost all of the bugs should be worked out of the new web site now but if for some reason you run into a problem please contact us right away.

The New DragonAutomotive.com

We changed the DNS information with our registrar today so that by December 1, 2008 the new site will be fully functional on the new server. There may be some disruption as the new server info propagates the internet. This usually takes a day or two but may be slightly longer. Once this takes effect the old site will be completely removed from the internet so if you have any bookmarks to specific pages they will no longer work. I suggest making updating your bookmark to start at the DragonAutomotive.com home page instead.

We will be leaving the web site PerformancePartsAndAccessories.com online as a kind of test site. This site will showcase any new features or code changes prior to thier taking effect on the actual DragonAutomotive.com web site. It will be a fully functional site so any purchases made from it will be for real.

Web Site Disruption

The day is almost here. On December 1, 2008 we will be moving the DragonAutomotive.com web site to our new server. This will cause the site to be down for a few days. Please shop the PerformancePartsAndAccessories.com web site while we make this change.

We will also be taking down the web site BilletGrilleStore.com. This web site was established primarily to test the new shopping cart and it has served it's short term purpose. There are other plans for this domain name so stay tuned to the blog for details. If you purchased a product from the BilletGrilleStore.com please contact DragonAutomotive.com for service related questions.

We appologize for any inconveniance that this will cause you but the small amount of pain is worth it. If you haven't seen the new web site yet I suggest stopping by PerformancePartsAndAcccessories.com and checking it out. The new site is easier to use. Each page has the complete master catalog on it so that you can shop for any vehicle and its part regarldess of what page your on. The new site also supports YouTube videos for you to watch and you can submit videos for us to include in the video rotation.

Old Page Links

The DragonAutomotive.com web sites existing product pages will function until December 1, 2008. We will then be moving the site to the new server and the current page links with products on them will no longer work.

Google may have these old links still active for a brief time. Simply go to the DragonAutomotive.com home page and start your search. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause but it will be worth it in the end.

Master Catalog Link Changes

Progress on the new web site is well progressing. We have changed the working links on the Master Catalog page at DragonAutomotive.com. Next for this page will be the removal of the product that will no longer have a link to the new site. Most of these product will still be available but will take some time to get back on the site in order to add new products.

We have also fixed an issue where products were showing up on the wrong pages. The projector headlights were showing up on standard style headlights as were the LED tail lights showing up on the standard style tail lights. Also changed is the number of products that show on the page. We have increased the product to 50 items per page. This will make finding things much easier as you will no longer have to move from page to page.

Next we will be implementing the new navigation menu to the existing web site and adding some of the missing products like Wiseco pistons to the new web site. Some of the product will not be available right away in order for us to work on adding the new manufacturers products.

New DragonAutomotive.com Web Site

We will be starting the new web site migration process this month.

1. First we will start by making the current product links go to the PerformancePartsAndAccessories.com web site. The first page to change will be the master catalog page.

2. After that we will be implementing the new menu on all of the pages. The old navigation will no longer work once we have this in place.

3. Then we will be moving the DragonAutomotive.com site to our new server. This move will delete all of the current product pages and Google will no longer be indexing those pages. If you have any bookmarks to individual product they will no longer work and we suggest updating your bookmarks before this change occures.

When we make the move to the new server we will also be creating the new shopping cart system which is already in place on PerformancePartsAndAccessories.com.

This migration will cause problems and we appologize for any inconveniance that it causes but it will allow us to better serve you in the future. If at any time you have questions or concerns please call us 612-226-2719. The total site migration will occure by December 24, 2008.

New Menu for New Site

We have replaced the tree based menu with a drop down style menu on the PerformancePartsandAccessories.com web site. This fixes the problem with the menu being covered up by the YouTube video screen.

Sneak Peak at New Web Site

Great news everyone. The new web site is pretty much done and as a blog reader you get the first glimpse of our new site. As stated in previous blog posts the new site is currently at the domain name PerformancePartsAndAccessories.com.

The new site is fully functional and has our most up to date products including a few coilover suspension packages for our new vendor Ksport. We will have more on this new vendor and others as we continue to work on this new site.

In a month or so we will be starting the migration process meaning that links to products at the DragonAutomotive.com domain name will be linked to the new store at PerformancePartsAndAccessories.com domain.

The New Web Site is Almost Done

Work on the new site is progressing along nicely. We have 99% of the new site done and are just finishing up the main navigation menu. The soft open for the new site is scheduled for the beginning of August 2008.

New Web Site Available Soon

The new DragonAutomotive.com web site is coming along nicely and we will be having a soft opening soon. This preview will be exclusive to our Blog readers so be sure to stop back for details and a link to our new site.

Data Center OK

The problems at the data center have been resolved. The center came back on line Monday June 2, 2008 and have been running ever since. Images are now working again. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Temporary Server Issue

Yesterday the place that houses the TyComm portion of everything experienced an event which has taken down that entire section of my Internet domain. This has caused the images on DragonAutomotive.com to stop working along with several other web sites and email. The DragonAutomotive site will still operate and email is still working but the images won't be available until the data center has fixed the hardware problem. I am hopeful that they will have this issue fixed within the next few days. If you have any questions or want us to email you an image contact me through the web site.

Long Time New Post

Sorry, it's been a while since our last post. I've been working on other sites at Tyson Communications. Read the TyComm Blog for details on the other projects that we have going on in the web development and design world.

Status of the new site is currently ongoing and we are working through a few issues that have come up with our new shopping cart system. Our projected time frame for the new site is still on pace for the end of the year however we are going to be changing things up a bit. I am not going to be using the performancepartsandaccessories.com web site to show the new site. Instead that domain name will not be the actual shopping cart and DragonAutomotive.com will contain all of the pages that link to the various parts and accessories. It may sound a bit confusing now but it will make sense when your using the system.

The spin off site BilletGrilleStore.com is going good and has shown us some of the limitations of the new system. We will be continuing to work on that site which is part of a larger project that I have in mind. Stay tuned for more details on that.

What Were Up To

We have been busy with other TyComm projects at the moment but we are also making progress on the new shopping cart. We will be implementing a new site design which will integrate the new shopping cart sometime this summer. You will be able to preview the new site which will be located at performancepartsandaccessories.com. Currently this site links you back to the DragonAutomotive.com web site but that will change once we have the site designed. Stay tuned to our blog for further information.

A Web Spin Off

We have begun working with a new shopping cart and in doing so we will be spinning off web sites from DragonAutomotive.com. Our first spin off site is BilletGrilleStore.com and will feature only billet grilles for cars and trucks from the current high quality manufacturers that we deal with.

These new web site spin offs will deliver the same great products and service you have come to know but will also introduce new products and services. So as this, the beginning of many new changes that DragonAutomotive.com will begin in 2008 be sure to add us to your RSS reader to keep up with all the latest info.
